Nominee Drops Skate-Inspired Music Video For “Wrah Wrah”

Austin’s five-piece, Nominee released their first single, “Wrah Wrah,” off their debut LP, Lowlife, and a music video to go along with it. The LP is set to be released on September 24, 2021, via Smartpunk Records. “Wrah Wrah” is about the time Nominee spend writing music, playing shows, and touring as much as they could. All the time they spend together creating memories establish the tone of the song: nostalgia. It brings me back to hanging out with friends and not having a care in the world. The best part about this song is the music video and its high quality. Nominee collaborated with BONES Bearings and six of their skaters. "Wrah Wrah was a really fun video to make, we were able to make it with Richie Schalen who has been a long-time friend and collaborator with the band and it was good to finally work with him in his full capacity. We wanted to display the DIY culture in an authentic way by using local skaters in our hometown setting." - Chris Mclelland

Nominee is set to appear at Furnace Fest and release Lowlife on September 24, 2021. I’m excited to see what else Nominee has in store for us before the release of their LP. Make sure to check out the “Wrah Wrah” music video and follow them on all their socials.
