BRISAYDA, a classically trained musician, fell in love with music at a young age, specifically R&B, as she sang around the house and became involved with chorus. With Alicia Keys as her musical idol, her favorite part about the genre is how artists were “transparent”, something that she emulates in her new single, “Hey Baby”. Known to her closest friends as someone who is more to herself when it comes to her sexuality, BRISAYDA was “going for something more risque” to show another side of herself through her music. “With this song, I like to show sides of myself people wouldn't associate me with,” and she got the reaction she was looking for! With aspirations of authenticity, BRISAYDA is not only working towards an EP, but also dreams of touring and opening up for artists like Solange Knowles and Janelle Monae at venues like the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. “I love putting myself in situations where I can see what I’m made of” says BRISAYDA as she talks about one of her favorite performances when she was in college singing an operatic solo. This strong woman loves what she creates and wants the people who feel the same emotions to join her. At first, “Hey Baby” feels like a vibey song that you can nod along too, but as you hear the lyrics, you are hit with that fierce feeling of sexy confidence.
